Thanksgiving Holiday Orphan Meal

Everyone loves the thought of Thanksgiving Day. Enjoying a large meal and our families. However an increasing number of people are alone on this and other holidays. This season is very joyous but depressing for others. Gathering the single parent, the foreign student, the lonely grandmother will create an atmosphere of joy for the attendees, volunteers, and sponsors.

In fact last year we fed over 7500 people in several different locations and this year we have the same commitment to the community. When people feel happy they tend to make economic purchases. Lets face it the economy needs all the help it can get and the Thanksgiving Holiday Orphan Meal (THOM) will start the consumer buying season off right.

More importantly, our community will be tighter nit. Residence of Fort Lauderdale and the surrounding communities will have a sense of community thorough a common objective. Rather than meeting your neighbor only by tragedy or by happenstance the community will be joined by a common purpose.

We need your help. We need your time, your ideas, and your support. We already have enough meals for 7500 people; however we are in need of the following:

  1. Several additional locations (that can host the event) east of I-95
  2. Media support
  3. Volunteers (now and on Thanksgiving Day)
  4. Economic Contributions.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Eric Yankwitt
